Basic Info
Darren Darker was born in Dublin in 1971. He is the proud father of one son, Adam and lives in Bray in Co. Wicklow.
He is an avid reader since young age, where he would devour books into the early hours by Sven Hassell, Agatha Christie and anything else that he could get his hands on. Nowadays, along with a deep developing interest in Irish history, he is still reading vivaciously. Of which authors Henning Mankell, Lee Child, John Connolly, CS Samson and David Baldacci are just a few.
Along with being a Volunteer Fire Man and a Coxswain in a River and Inshore Rescue team in the Civil Defence for over four years, he worked part time for nearly seven years as a Doorman in various bars and niteclubs in Dublin and Bray. A job that he says helped him to understand people and gives him an insight into the seedy underbelly of Irish society. Perfect for any writer.
Amongst a number of professional qualifications, he holds a BA in Accountancy & HRM and currently owns, along with one of his oldest friends, a busy garage in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Under an Irish Sky is his first novel in the John Morgan series.
